The YMCA was founded by volunteers, and still today we are a volunteer-led and volunteer–driven organization.
Volunteering with the YMCA can not only greatly improve the lives of others and strengthen our community, but it can greatly impact your life.
Here are a few ideas of ways you can volunteer at any of our local YMCA branches or within one of our programs.
- Assist in exercise classes
- Read to a preschool class
- Coach a youth sports team
- Greet people at the front desk
- Serve as a role model for young people
- Lead a small group such as a book club
- Help out in our offices and at special events
- Be a part of a committee
